Right to Information activist Chetan Sharma receives gunshot injury
27 Apr, 2015In the list of activists who have faced physical assault, another name has been added. Chetan Sharma, Right to Information (RTI) activist, was shot at by unknown assailants in Delhi as he was taking his dog for a walk. The dog was killed during the firing by the two unknown assailants in the national capital while Sharma received bullet injuries in the arm. He is in the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital and is currently recuperating while the police is said to be investigating the matter. No arrests have been reported in the case so far.
Chetan has been taking up public causes and has fought against corruption .The Chief Minister of Delhi Mr Arvind Kejriwal visited Chetan Sharma at the hospital alongwith Somnath Bharti, and asked the police to nab the culprits at the earliest.
