Non receipt of registered airmail letter - the article received in her name from Singapore was sent to TATANAGAR RMS - CIC: PIO to make enquiries to find out the eventual fate of the article and furnish a report to the appellant

A registered airmail letter was sent to me on above address from my friend on 17/11/2011 from Singapore vide article number RC603611419SG. Online tracking record shows that letter was sent to TATANAGAR RMS on 25/11/2011 but it has not yet reached to me. A complaint for that was lodged to SSP, Jamshedpur on 04/01/2012 but no result. I want dispatch details/ bag number in which it was sent to Tatanagar RMS.
Hearing
The appellant was given an opportunity to participate in the hearing, however, she is absent. The CPIO stated that the appellant in her RTI application dated 21/04/2012 had requested for dispatch details/ bag number in which the article received in her name from Singapore was sent to TATANAGAR RMS and vide letter dated 30/4/2012 the information has been provided to her stating that the article was dispatched to TATANAGR RMS “RP” bag by Kolkata Air Foreign/1, dated 25/11/2011 with entry at serial no. 2/6 in the said RP list. Further, the said RP bag for TATANAGAR RMS was dispatched to MA Howrah RS with entry at serial. no. 9/9 in the mail list and was carried by K-1 out section (reporting to Orissa postal circle) to TATANAGAR RMS. He added that he will now make enquiries from K-1 out section, Tatanagar RMS and Jamshedpur to find out the eventual fate of the article and furnish a report to the appellant.
Decision notice:
The Commission directs the CPIO to conduct an enquiry as foresaid and furnish a report to the appellant within 30 days from the date of receipt of this order. The appeal is disposed of accordingly.
