2 Jan, 2012The Principal Secretary of the Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology Department, Mr. M N Vidyashankar has informed that a system is being developed where a citizen can file his or her request over the phone or through integrated portal of RTI and public grievances. The system was introduced in six establishments on a pilot basis and is now extended to 161 departments. A State service delivery gateway is also on the cards which would provide a single window online access for Government to Citizen (‘G2C’) and Government to Business Community (‘G2B’) services. Being a web-based solution, anybody can participate without any hindrance or entry barriers unlike now where a citizen has to approach the government officers either through post or in person for information under RTI. The government plans to create a resident data hub which will link all databases of the government.
