Is the Hyderabad metro project moving on as per the time schedule?
11 Jun, 2013The reply to an application filed under the Right to Information (RTI) Act has revealed that the claim of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) regarding the completion of project designs and drawings was false.
The Managing Director of HMRL, after a site visit to the metro rail project, had claimed in the press conference that the engineering drawings and designs for the metro project were cleared by reputed international agencies. The managing director had said that the designs and the design basis reports (DBR) were prepared by AECOM, an internationally acclaimed metro rail consultancy organization and they were verified by an independent consultant Louis Berger.
However, the reply provided by the HMRL states that designing of the stations along the corridor-II is still under finalization process. The reply also states that the designs for the proposed stations at Begumpet and between Ameerpet and Maithrivanam have not been finalized
