HSIIDC didn’t stop banks from granting loans to businesses without NOC
6 Jun, 2013There has been lots of hue and cry regarding the banks refusing the loan on behest of Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (HSIIDC). It has been alleged that HSIIDC has been trying to make the loan process complicated and is trying to mislead the banks to recognise the corporation as finance institution.
An application was filed with the Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (HSIIDC) under the Right to Information (RTI) Act seeking to know whether the corporation had asked the local bank heads to deny loans to those applications which don’t have proper NOCs. The HSIIDC, in its reply, has denied issuing any such letter. The PIO stated in the reply that his office was not aware of any such letter issued by the Chamber of Industries, Gurgaon to all banks. Further, the HSIIDC didn’t send any letter to the banks asking them not to grant loans to the entrepreneurs without obtaining NOC from HSIIDC.
Not satisfied with mere denial in the RTI reply, the applicant has said that he will ask the HSIIDC to issue an affidavit regarding their claim.
