14 Sep, 2013Order
Appellant not present but is represented by Shri Umesh Chandra.
The public authority is represented by Shri A.B. Dey, Dean Research, and Shri Amit Kumar.
2. Shri Umesh Chandra submits that Dr Awadesh Chandra is purported to have obtained a Diploma tiled “Doctor Specialist in General Medicine” (Doctor for Medicine) from Daghestan State Medical Academy in 1988 and on the basis thereof he is presently in the employment of AIIMS. It is his contention that this diploma is fake and Dr Awadesh Chandra has obtained this job in a fraudulent manner.
3. On the other hand, Dr Dey submits that the degree/ diploma presented before the AIIMS by Dr Awadesh Chandra has been duly registered by the Medical Council of India. As regards the genuineness of the diploma, he would submit that the factum of registration of MCI signifies its genuineness. He also submits that copies of all the materials available with AIIMS have already been supplied to the appellant.
4. However, Shri Umesh Chandra would submit that diploma would have been awarded to Dr Awadesh Chandra in Russian language and he wants to have a copy thereof. To this, Dr Dey would respond that no such document is available in the AIIMS records.
5. In view of the above, the matter is being closed at the Commission’s end. The CPIO, however, is hereby directed to provide a copy of the B.Sc. markssheet of Dr Awadesh Chandra to the appellant , if available in the records.
