Were VIP passes for the darshan of lord Venkateshware sold?

There were reports claiming that the temple committee provided VIP passes to the brother of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara atop Tirumala hills on ‘Vaikunta Ekadasi’ day. It has been reported that over 9,000 VIP passes were issued which is far in excess of the number of VIPs in the State.
Member of Parliament and AICC secretary V. Hanumantha Rao has alleged that many of these VIP pass were sold between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 20,000. He intends to file an application under the Right to Information (RTI) Act regarding the alleged sale of VIP passes for darshan of Lord Venkateswara atop Tirumala hills on ‘Vaikunta Ekadasi’ day. He has demanded that all the details regarding the matter should be made public and action should be taken against those responsible for it.
