Over 4.2 crore spent by UP Government on aircraft refuelling
25 Feb, 2014Reply to an application filed under the RTI Act has shown that in the year 2013, an amount of Rs 4,21,26,448 was spent on refuelling of the UP government planes. The reply further shows that out of the six planes available with UP government, only three are serviceable. The rest of the planes are non-serviceable and are not being used. The UP government has a fleet of four helicopters, out of which one is non-serviceable. The directorate of civil aviation refused to provide the log book of the official planes Nutan Thakur claiming that it is the personal information of the pilots and engineers.
