Manmohan Singh lookalike to act in a film against Dowry

Suhail Ilyasi has claimed that as per the reply to a RTI application, 94,000 men had been vicitmised in the country under the Section 498-A (Dowry Act of the Indian Penal Code). He has produced a film “498 A – A Wedding Gift” with the ManMohan Singh look-a-like Gurmeet Singh Sethi playing a role. The film deals with the issue of misuse of the Dowry Act. It has been reported that once a person is booked under the Dowry Act, it takes an average of 10 years for the family to come out of it. A demand has been made to make the Act gender neutral. Ilaysi had himself been arrested under the Dowry Act in the past.
