The appellant has sought the following information with regard to selection of students for Stage 2 examination of National Talent Search Examination (NTSE):
1. Is NCERT not concerned about wide variation in cut-off marks among the States and Union Territories obtained by students in Stage 1 Examination.
2. What is the plan of NCERT to address/resolve/minimise such variation in cutoff marks among States/UTs?

Grounds for Second Appeal
The CPIO did not provide the desired information.
Submissions made by Appellant and Respondent during Hearing:
The appellant was not present to plead his case despite service of valid hearing notice on 20.09.2019 vide speed post acknowledgement no. ED275651218IN.
The CPIO reiterated the contents of his reply dated 20.04.2018.
Observations:
From a perusal of the reply of the CPIO and the oral submissions made during the hearing, it is noted that a proper reply had been provided to the appellant. Further, the appellant was not present to specify the deficiencies in the reply. Under these circumstances, no further action is called for.
Decision:
In view of the above observations, no further action lies.
The appeal is disposed of accordingly.
