The appellant has sought the following information:
1. Provide total number of candidates who appeared in the examination conducted on 22/06/2019 and 23/06/2019 for various posts, i.e. MTS, Civ-MTD, Mess staff, Fireman, etc.
2. Provide number of candidates who pass the said examination and were shortlisted.
3. Provide marks scored by the shortlisted candidates.
Grounds for filing Second Appeal
The CPIO did not provide the desired information.
Submissions made by Appellant and Respondent during Hearing:
The appellant was not present to plead his case despite service of hearing notice on 28.02.2022 vide speed post acknowledgment No. ED038580295IN. However, in his second appeal memo he had stated that no information was provided to him.
The CPIO submitted that an appropriate reply was given to the appellant on 10.07.2020. She also submitted that her written submissions dated 08.03.2022 may be taken on record.
Observations:
From a bare perusal of the RTI application, the first appeal and the second appeal, it is noted that the RTI application was filed by Ms Latika Chitre and the subsequent appeals were filed by a different person, M P Shinde. Therefore, the second appeal is not maintainable.
Decision:
In view of the above, the case is dismissed as being non-maintainable.
