Comment:
Sir, I am a retired Central Govt. employee. On 6th CPC, my scale was upgraded, but my dept. has denied it very illogically. A RTI was made on this & my departmental head issued a reply & confessed it, agreed that the scale is upgraded. But my authority denied it accordingly my pension was reduced.
Therefore, in that case what shall I do? I lodged so many grievances but my department rejected it again & again.
Pl advice suggest me accordingly.

Dear Mr Deb
We have full sympathies with you and many persons who are placed in a similar situation having a grievance against a department.
RTI is a means of obtaining information. The information received can be used for attaining a particular objective. It may be for the purpose of use in a Court of Law, for making a forceful case, for presenting the facts to a senior, etc.
One must remember that RTI is only a tool, it itself may not provide the solution. The solution may lie in a pension adalat, in a petition in a Court or raising your grievance higher up. You may consider obtaining legal opinion about the correctness of your complaint.
