Right to Information was incorporated as a part of the syllabus for the fourth semester for students pursuing a graduation degree in commerce in Goa University. The 45 marks paper of the business and public communication paper included providing a practical training to students regarding filing RTI applications and appeals.
The board of studies for commerce undergraduate had objections to RTI as a subject in the syllabus and the Goa University has decided to remove RTI from its syllabus. This decision has invited criticism and protests from individuals and organisations.
