Details of the Immovable property returns have been put on the website
Ref: Are Annual Property Returns of government employees personal?
I had applied for immovable property details (in fact only whether he has filed) of IAS officer of TN cadre, but the PIO refused citing it as personal information. This is collector of a district for 5 years and highly corrupt. He was also conferred IAS not on promotion even from State Civil Services. Hence, I had asked for details of his recommendation since it was apparently political. Please let me know if there are any rulings based on which I can challenge the denial of information.

In case of IAS, the DoPT has put up the annual property returns for public view which is available at the link - https://sparrow-ias.eoffice.gov.in/IPRSTATUS/IPRFiledSearch
The Supreme Court has held that such details are personal information which can be disclosed only in case of larger public interest.
