CBI raises reward for information on killers of RTI activist
25 Apr, 2012The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today raised the reward money to Rs 10/- lakhs from 5/- lakhs announced earlier for anyone giving credible information regarding the conspiracy and murder of RTI activist Satish Shetty which would lead to the arrest of the accused involved in the heinous crime. Earlier, the CBI sought the permission from the Additional Sessions Judge Sadhana Shinde to conduct polygraph test on the accused, witnesses and the suspects in the murder of Shetty and were granted the permission. Satish Shetty had used the RTI act for unearthing land scams in Pune and was murdered on 13th January 2010. The case is in progress.
