Comment:
Please resolve the PIO responsibility as in following situation -
An applicant wants information regarding a complaint filed by him on 3.7.18. What action has been taken by the institute under RTI application?
The section dealing the complaints informed that information is Nil.
As no action is taken on his complaint, the PIO informed the applicant that information regarding your RTI is nil. Then applicant goes for 1st appeal where he does not got any information. Then he goes to 2nd appeal know after 150 days from the application given in RTI, PIO has changed. What should new PIO do when he gets notice from 2nd appeal officer.

- The RTI Act empowers a citizen to seek and obtain information. If the applicant has been informed that no action has been taken on his complaint, the responsibility under the RTI Act, 2005 is fulfilled.
- The new PIO should defend the case before the Information Commission.
