O R D E R
FACTS
The Appellant vide his RTI application sought information as under:-

The CPIO vide letter dated 28-06-2022, furnished a reply to the Appellant. Dissatisfied with the reply received from the PIO, the Appellant filed a First Appeal. The FAA vide order dated 28-07- 2022, directed the PIO to provide revised reply to the appellant. Thereafter, the Appellant filed a Second Appeal before the Commission.

Appellant: Mr. Satish K. Grover, attended the hearing.
Respondent: Mr. Navdeep, Assistant Vigilance Officer-6 & PIO, attended the hearing.
The Appellant while reiterating the contents of his RTI Application has stated that he is not satisfied with the information provided by the Respondent. He added that the Respondent has not provided action taken report against AVO-6 and status of his complaint as there is conflict of interest.
The Respondent while defending his case submitted that the averred matter was closed by the competent authority in Vigilance Department after which the matter was referred to EE Department/SDM-2.
A written submission has been received from Mr. Navdeep, Assistant Vigilance Officer-6 & PIO, vide letter dated 26.10.2023, a copy of which has also been marked to the Appellant and the same has been taken on record.
DECISION:
Keeping in view the facts of the case and the submissions made by both the parties, the Commission observes that the reply provided by the Respondent qua the RTI Application is not satisfactory. The Commission is of the opinion that since the Appellant is the complainant, the Appellant has the right to know the final outcome of the said complaint. Hence, the Commission deems it fit to direct Mr. Navdeep, Assistant Vigilance Officer-6 & PIO, to furnish revised, correct, and updated information to the Appellant, in accordance with the spirit of transparency and accountability as enshrined in the RTI Act, 2005 within a period of 21 days from the receipt of this order under the intimation to the Commission.
The Appeal stands disposed of accordingly.
