Who is empowered to represent the CIC before the Court?

The appellant sought for the inspection and copies of documents regarding name and office address of the person/any officer, who administers oaths for purpose of affidavits in the Court of Central Information Commission and Chief Central Information Commissioner duly appointed by the Court along with the order regarding above information. The Public Information Officer (PIO) stated that no such information was available with them.

The Central Information Commission (CIC) rejected the appeal observing noted that no information as defined under section 2(f) “information” means any material in any form, including records, documents, memos, e-mails, opinions, advices, press releases, circulars, orders, logbooks, contracts, reports, papers, samples, models, data material held in any electronic form and information relating to any private body which can be accessed by a public authority under any other law for the time being in force; of the RTI Act has been sought by the appellant.
