Rs 187 crore was spent in the ‘Bharat Nirman’ campaign
15 May, 2015In reply to an application filed under the Right o Information (RTI) Act, the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) has informed that the Rs 187 crore was spent in the ‘Bharat Nirman’ campaign in the run up to the general election in 2014 during the reign of the UPA government.
The DAVP has informed that the money was spent on various modes of advertising like radio spots, print advertisements, outdoor publicity and other displays. The quantum of spending on Bharat Nirman campaign in the past years was as under:
2010-2011 : Rs 4,718 lakh
