Police has refused to provide a copy of the complaint in response to an application filed under RTI

Ref: Appellant asked for copy of complaint filed against him by his wife to police & the inquiry report - PIO denied it u/s 8(1)(g) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, there shall be no obligation to give any citizen, information, the disclosure of which would endanger the life or physical safety of any person or identify the source of information or assistance given in confidence for law enforcement or security purposes; claiming that disclosure may endanger the life or physical safety of the appellant’s wife - CIC: provide the information

Sir, my case is also the same. My daughter in law has filed a complaint against my son and me, when I approached station in-charge, she refused to give copy of complaint. I mentioned that as per RTI you have to give copy but I filed RTI application, police said nothing doing, even I went to DCP. Results - nil.

Under which section and clause we can fight with police to get the copy of complaint? Can anybody can help us?
