Should the applicant file an RTI application every time an information is sought or is the public authority expected to provide certain information pro-actively?

The Public Authority is expected to take steps to provide certain information to public without waiting for an RTI application. Such disclosure of information should be:

       suo motu,

       as much information as possible,

       at regular intervals,

       through various means of communications,

       so that the public have to take resort to the use of this Act to the least extent possible.
