Should the applicant file an RTI application every time an information is sought or is the public authority expected to provide certain information pro-actively? The Public Authority is expected to take steps to provide certain information to public without waiting for an RTI application. Such disclosure of information should be: suo motu, as much information as possible, at regular intervals, through various means of communications, so that the public have to take resort to the use of this Act to the least extent possible. |
