We have been receiving some mails (just as those above) where the applicant says that - I wish to obtain certain information under the RTI Act, 2005. It indicates that citizens are actively trying to use the Act to obtain records. The RTI Act, 2005 provides that the citizen should approach the respective public authority and all that is needed is that the citizen should file an application with the concerned public authority. The RTI Foundation provides the information through the website www.rtifoundationofindia.com about the latest case laws which may be of use to the applicants. It is neither the objective of the RTI Foundation to file individuals RTI applications on behalf of individuals nor we have the resources to do it.
We hope that the citizens would exercise their powers to obtain the information they desire. The procedure for filing an application is given at the link below which would assist the applicants in seeking the needed documents. Link - https://www.rtifoundationofindia.com/how-file-rti-application-2
