Arvind Kejriwal meets the wife of RTI activist, Chandra Mohan Sharma
21 May, 2014The former Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal met the wife of Chandra Mohan Sharma, an RTI activist whose burnt body was found inside his car near Eldeco Crossing at Greater Noida on May 2.
The police were investigating the matter from the angle of foul play amidst allegations by the family members of Sharma that he was murdered by the mafia whose deed he had exposed through RTI. Sharma was reportedly getting threatening calls for quite sometime.
Kejriwal, accompanied by senior party leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, met Chandra Mohan Sharma's wife Savita Sharma and demanded speedy probe into the matter. Kejriwal said that he would meet senior police officials to expedite the investigation in the case. He also talked of consulting Prashant Bhushan (Senior AAP leader and advocate) regarding the possibility of probe of the case by an independent agency.
