The Appellant sought to know about the guidelines/rules/regulations of SSC regarding use of “Scribe” for the help of OH category candidates in the exam of SSC.

CPIO submitted that SSC does not issue any guidelines for Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates which are issued by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. He further stated that provision for scribe is made available in the notice of concerned examinations. He furthermore submitted that if directed a copy of notice of one such examination conducted by SSC containing the above provisions will be provided to the Appellant.
Commission on the basis of proceedings during hearing and taking an empathetic view in the matter directs the CPIO to provide copy of notice of one such examination conducted by SSC containing the above provisions to the Appellant free of cost within 15 days of receipt of this order. A compliance report to this effect shall be sent by the CPIO to the Commission.
The appeal is disposed of accordingly.
