This matter concerning an application filed by the Appellant came up before us today. The Appellant was not present in spite of a written notice having been sent to him. Amongst the documents available on the records before us is a reply dated 17.8.2010, sent by the CPIO of the National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT), stating that the information sought by the Appellant does not fall under Section 2 (f) of the RTI Act. The Respondents submitted that the Appellant had filed an application dated 24.7.2010, in which he had mentioned that he had a grievance regarding nonpayment of an increment due to him by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies of Punjab. He had further stated that he wanted to take up this matter in a court and had sought the expert opinion of the Respondents on this issue. It was in response to this query that the CPIO informed the Appellant that the information sought by him did not fall under Section 2 (f) of the RTI Act.
2. Having considered the records and the submissions made by the Respondents before us, we find no substance in this appeal and it is dismissed.
3. Copies of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
