2. The Appellant through his RTI application dated 03.09.2013 sought information on 6 points Viz
i) the information whether there are any guidelines issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice for those who convert their religion from Hindu to Budhism.
ii) the information whether there are any law which is relied by the Ministry of Law and Justice for those who convert their religion from Hindu to Budhism.
iii) the information whether there is any settled procedure or guidelines in Ministry of Law and Justice for those who convert their religion from Hindu to Budhism, etc.
Having recieved no information within the prescribed period, the appellant preferred First Appeal. FAA order is not available on the file. Claiming nonfurnishing of the information sought, the appellant has approached the Commission in Second Appeal.
DECISION
3. The appellant is not present. The respondent authority made their submissions. The respondent authority has submitted that there is no difinite law/guidelines on the conversions of religions. The Commission has perused the record available in the file. The Commission observes that the appellant is seeking such an information for which there is no definite law/guidelines framed by the Government, and the answers given to the Commission, is the information that he could furnish. Hence the appeal is closed.
