18 Jun, 2014Reply to an application filed under the Right to Information (RTI) Act has brought out stark facts about the functioning of the Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Commission. The UP Vigilance Commission has informed Sanjay Sharma who had filed the application that it has no records prior to 1978 to show what steps the commission took to contain corruption in government departments. Further, the reply says that in the last in the last 36 years, UP Vigilance Commission has held only seven meetings.
