Comment: The management of IIPA was well aware that some candidates were making use of some kind of information e.g. by sms, greeting cards, telephone calls to members to vote for them. As per rule no candidate is allowed to canvass to any member in any form to cast vote in his or her favour.
Keeping in view the above, and the complaints make by some members, the committee of three persons was formed to go into these allegations and take action against them accordingly. The committee met on 14.2.2013 and some members were also invited to give their statements. Even after ten months the committee report has not been communicated to all concerned.
In the meantime I made appeal that one of the candidates who was getting only one vote in his favour whereas there were 20 for selection. I asked for the above information from PIO and FAA of IIPA. As the information was not given I submitted second appeal to CIC and the CIC gave the above orders, which was not expected as there were only 2000 members who had voted and this information could be compiled but to protect the candidate this was not done.
It means that the three Members Committee to go into the irregularities of election was also an eye wash.
