RTI reveals promotion of employees on the basis of fake documents
10 Mar, 2013The rely to an application filed under the Right to Information (RTI) Act has revealed that two employees of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) used fake documents in order to get promotion.
During an altercation between two class III employees of MIDC, Mumbai they blamed each other for submitting fake government electrical diploma course certificate to get promoted on the basis of which the applicant filed the RTI query with the technical board of MIDC. After receiving the application, the board sent the certificates of both the employees for verification during which it was found that the two certificates were fake. The board, in its reply, has confirmed that the two employees who were class IV employees of MIDC showed the fake certificates and were promoted to the post of operator at pump house (class III) around a decade ago.
The executive engineer at MIDC has said that it is a case of cheating and forgery and appropriate action will be taken against the employees.
