The recent Madras High Court judgment is a poor indicator of judicial capability
27 Sep, 2014The recent Madras High Court judgment has generated a lot of discussions. A reading of the judgment and the review order is a poor indicator of judicial capability and shows an inherent bias in the judiciary to bring out transparency amongst itself. Most organisations and individuals in power never want to show themselves in poor light and therefore, shun all attempts at scrutiny of their work. Unfortunately, the judiciary has also joined the ranks and files of such organisations. The judiciary should be supportive of the move to bring in transparency which alone can bring about changes in the functioning of the means of governance and delivery of justice.
