Heard on 25.11.14. Appellant not present. Respondent is represented by Shri G.A.Khan and one more official.
2. The appellant through his RTI application dt 17.10.2012 has sought the information with respect to the implementation of the DCP, Traffic (HQ) Delhi order dt 10.4.2012 for prohibiting blowing of Horn in the “ Silent Zone” Areas viz. why necessary sign board s have not been put up to alert public; process to ensure the relevant agencies would comply with notification referred; person responsible for monitoring this aspect; does any representation received for conversion of road in silence Zone, action taken on it. CPIO vide letter dt 20.12.2012 replied that the information does not pertain to them and transfer it to PIO, DCP, Police who has provided the point wise information. Being unsatisfied with the CPIO reply, the appellant made first appeal on 30.5.2013. On not receiving any order from the FAA, the appellant made second appeal before the Commission.
3. The Commission after hearing the submissions made directs the PIO to forward a copy of this order along with the RTI application to the PIO, Delhi Pollution Control Committee with the direction to furnish the information as sought by Appellant within three weeks of receipt of this order.
4. The appeal is disposed with the above direction.
