Information about the delivery certificate of Speed Post Consignment was sought - CIC suggested to the respondent authority that if they need to call it as a speed post service then the information should also be given in a speedy manner

FACTS:
1. The appellant sought information regarding –
(i) the delivery certificate of Speed Post Consignment NoED7735509211N, ED773550918IN, ED773550904IN, ED773550921IN.
(ii) Whether the above said consignments were delivered or not
(iii) where are the consignment if in case they remained undelivered
(iv) give the name of the concerned official who is responsible for delivery of consignment
(v) give the copy of rules/statues of post offices. Being dissatisfied, the appellant approached this Commission.
Decision :
2. The PIO stated that point-wise information was furnished to the appellant on 22.06.2016. The Commission suggests the respondent authority that if they need to call it as a speed post service then the information should also be given in a speedy manner.
Disposed of.
