How well is the CIC website working?
23 Oct, 2013What the Central Information Commission at New Delhi is doing to save the public authorities from punishment under section 20 of RTI Act...surely you would like to know ... CIC misguided the information seeker (i.e. My Father Sh. O.P. Saxena, age 80 yrs) by uploading a misleading information on 31-1-2013 on its website www.cic.gov.in informing 'DECISION PASSED' in his complaint file no. CIC/SM/C/2012/900580 BY THE Chief Information Commissioner.
Decision neither uploaded on the CIC website nor the CIC sent one certified copy of the decision at the postal address of the complainant.
After 2 months time on 01-4-2013 an RTI application was filed against the CPIO of the CIC to know the decision of the CIC dated 31-1-2013.
On 12-6-2013, after more than 2 months the CPIO of the CIC informed...the information is shocking...you yours self read...what the CPIO (Registrar) Mr. Vijay Bhalla of the Central Information Commission, New Delhi is saying...please read...
He is saying that:
1. information uploaded on the CIC website about "DECISION PASSED" was incorrect and
2. file of the case was not readily available with the CIC Secretariat
