26 Jul, 2013
In February 2009, twenty six ministers of the Madhya Pradesh had undergone Emotional Quotient (EQ) test conducted by School of Good Governance and Policy Analysis. The test was meant to measure the response of the ministers in the areas of trust, integrity, intentionality, compassion, etc.
Later, an application was filed under the Right to Information (RTI) Act seeking to get the results of the test. However, the information as denied to the applicant following which the applicant approached the State Information Commission (SIC). The SIC, in its order, directed the state government to provide a copy of the test result to the appellant.
The state government provided the information to the appellant but he claimed that the information provided was wrong and moved the Jabalpur High Court alleging that the government was trying to hide the results as the ministers had performed below par in the test. The High Court has now directed the government to provide the copy of results to the petitioner within a month.
