1. In pursuance of Commission’s orders dated 30 August 2013, matter was heard today. Both parties as above appeared in person and made submissions. It was stated by the representative of DMSWSL that he was not aware of the prescribed and actual retention period of GPS data for trucks carrying solid waste. It was stressed by the appellant that his RTI application was dated 14 May 2012 and that he had sought information for the period April 2011 – December 2011 and that it is the usual practice for such data to be maintained up to the point when all bills are cleared for payment and audit of the expenditure under this budgetary head is completed.

2. After hearing both parties Commission directs the CPIO to provide information to the appellant after obtaining the same from DMSWSL regarding the prescribed and the actual retention period of the GPS data pertaining to trucks which are deployed for carrying solid waste.
3. Information as above to be provided within three weeks of receipt of the order.
