Film division produces a short film on RTI
A short animation film of 3.10 minutes on RTI has been made by the eminent animation film maker Dhvani Desai. The film has been produced by Film Division of India and shall be screened before every show in the theatres from today, i.e. November 1, 2013. The objective of the effort is to create awareness about the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005 and its usefulness in addressing grievances of the common man.
Dhvani Desai, an awardee of many prestigious awards, and an RTI user herself realized the necessity of sensitization of the ‘aam aadmi’ only after her initiation in this field through a wokshop.
The film ‘Chakravyuh’, is about four people from different corners of the country try to address their grievances using conventional means but only to be denied at every step due to their honest approach, finally they unite and use RTI, which starts yielding results that they longed for so many years.
