Comment: This is welcome step by GOI no doubtin this. But the question is whether all our Civil Services officers i.e IAS, IRS, IPS etc really want this act to be used effectively. The answer is big NO. Ever since this act has come in to existence there is every effort by this class of officers to dilute the Act by all means. This is the only reason that this Act is nothing but toothless tiger, housed in a water tight compartment. It is fact that this act is so weak because no Indian Politician or Senior Civil Servant wants it to be powerful Act. It any of these authorities make an effort to make it a very powerful instrument to fight corruption, and most probably we may not require any Janlokpal or lokpal for that matter. But who is corrupt, corrupt are our politician and our bureaucrats and definitely they do not want these acts to be very powerful instrument to fight corruption in the hands of public. If they allow it to happen, I am very sure that corruption will be a subject of history. But every successive fraud has much wider implications than the previous one and all the ministers and officers come to the support of either minister of bureaucrate who is more corrupt than the previously caught minister or officers. So, only God can take care of Indian Corruption, as all our politicians and bureaucrats make every possible effort to protect a highly corrupt politician or bureaucrat.
