Details of funds granted for educating the children admitted under EWS category in the schools, their utilisation & a copy of HC Order in this regard was sought; whether St.Anthony School is built on the Government land - CIC: furnish the information
2. The Appellant had sought for information on 4 points Viz
i) Copy of High Court Order under which free book and uniform had to be given to the EWS category children
ii) Whether the funds are given by the Government to schools in which EWS category students are studying
iii) Whether there is any order that EWS category students need not give special camp fees.
Having received no information within the prescribed period, the appellant preferred First appeal on 06.12.2013. PIO responded thereafter on 10.12.2013 stating that for Point No. 1no such order is available and Point No. 2 & 3 referred to website and for the rest stated that it not covered by them. FAA by his Order dated 10.01.2014 directed the PIO to provide a revised reply. Claiming non-satisfaction with the information furnished, the appellant has approached the Commission in Second Appeal.
3. Both the parties made their submissions. The appellant is seeking details of funds granted for educating the children admitted under EWS category in the schools and also a copy of the High Court Order in this regard. She also wants to know how these funds are utilised and which officer in the school receives these funds to spend for EWS students and how much they get. She particularly referred to one school, by name, St.Anthony School and wants information whether the said school is built on the Government land. The respondent officer Mr. R.C.Yadav who is representing the PIO submitted that he has got the hearing notice only yesterday and he came unprepared and requested for time to supply all the information to the appellant. Accordingly, the Commission directs the Respondent authority to furnish the information to the RTI application to the appellant along with a copy of the High Court Order regarding EWS category, within 15 days from the date of receipt of this order. The appeal is disposed of.
