CBI Officer probing RTI Activist’s Shehla Masood’s murder case awarded
19 Aug, 2012Joint CBI director Keshav Kumar, who headed the Right to Information (RTI) activist Shehla Masood’s murder enquiry, has been awarded the President’s Police medal for distinguished service. DIG Arun Bothra, working in the same team, received President’s Police medal for meritorious service.
Other officers receiving Police medal for distinguished service include Assistant director (Interpol) N S Kharayat engaged in CWG scam probe; SP Javed Siraj, special task force; ASP Ravinder Singh Jaggi; and inspectors Rajender Kumar Gaur and Jeet Singh.
Among those who got President’s Police medal for meritorious service include DIG Sanjay Singh, who headed many cases related to CWG scam, DIG R Hitendra, probing cases against former Karnataka CM B S Yeddyurappa, DIG Hiren C Nath, and DSP Rajesh Chahal, probing the 2G spectrum scam.
Other persons who were awarded the medal are additional SP S Jaikumar, DSPs Santosh Kumar and Diptendu Bhattacharya, inspectors Jagdish Prasad, Shailendra Pratap Singh, Ravi Kant Jain, B B Tiwari and Rajeev Chandola, sub-inspectors L N Murthy and C V Pujari, assistant SI S P B Kharkongor, and head constables Kusum Pal Singh and M Chandrasekhar.
